Kinesys Flying High at Prolight + Sound 2015

UK-based motion control specialist Kinesys launched its new Pathfinder system at Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt earlier this month, which was a great success.

The company says the energy levels in Hall 9 of the Messe exhibition center and specifically on and around the Kinesys booth were definitely up on 2014, and once again, the brand attracted a lot of interest from multiple market sectors and visitors from all over the world.

The launch of Pathfinder reinforced Kinesys’ confidence in the exhibition as a major international gateway for the entertainment technology industry. It also built on the last 12 months’ drive to get the brand further established within new territories, of which the company’s inaugural Prolight exhibition in 2014 was an integral part.

Based on these experiences, Prolight 2015 was chosen as the best and most appropriate high-exposure environment in which to showcase the innovative new Pathfinder system.

“We were exceptionally pleased with the interest in Pathfinder and in Kinesys generally,” underlines managing director Dave Weatherhead.

“Following on from a great show last year, this year it was all about introducing the new system to the industry, an experience that surpassed all expectations,” adds marketing and communications manager, Steve Fowler. “The vibe and the attention Kinesys generated on the stand reflected the growth we’ve undergone as a company in the last twelve months.”

A four point bridle was rigged on the stand with wires coming from four Kinesys ZF200 winches and a 3D version of the Kinesys logo (suspended at the central meeting point). The winches were driven by Kinesys Velocity 2 drives and the 3D movement of the logo around the stand was controlled by the Pathfinder system and console.

The console was positioned to allow active demonstrations, and also gave visitors the chance to try the ease, speed and intuitivity of this extremely flexible system for themselves.

Also showing on the stand was Kinesys’ Elevation variable speed hoist, the DigiHoist fixed speed chain hoist controller, the Libra load monitoring system, and the EVO vari-speed hoist system.
